I 'upped the offer to $26k and placed it on the table, and they denied it. The Manager said that he wasn't going to take $1 less than 29k for it, so I gave them my cell phone number, told them to call me, and walked out. Haven't heard anything yet, but I'm not going to wait too much longer.

Sooo, now I've got some money to spend on a really nice SS if I come across one. I'll enjoy shopping around for another one if this deal falls through.

bah screw them, I mean unless you really wanted that car and didn't mind throwing away money then I'd say go for it. If it were me I'd just find a nice stock ss with high miles (keep the price low) buy it, pull the engine and build the hell out of it. sorry i'm just on the building engine up kick right now since I'm in the process of doing mine heh.

only problem is it's an AT but 31k miles and at under $17k asking price you could prob get them lower. invest that extra $10k you were gonna put into that other car into mods and your done.

Yeah, go in and see what they say. I went in with 26k, and they almost laughed at me.

As a matter in fact, I'll ask anyone who is close to them to stop in and make a ridiculously low offer so they see that no-one will pay 29k for their car. One of the salemen there actually had the balls to call me on saturday (when I was out shopping for another SS) and asked me if I found the extra cash yet for that car... They are very arrogant there at Bryner Chevrolet!
