I will bet you $100 my Ls1 get better highway mpg than your v6. Why? At 70mph it turning about 1300 rpm in 6th gear.
And another thing, if at V6 is modded heavily to keep up with an Ls1, i'd put a lot of money on the stock Ls1 lasting longer. 3800s are great engines but Ls1s have won their share of awards too.
i mod my v6 because i couldn't afford an ls1. I know an ls1 is faster and if i had the cash i would probably just buy one, but then again modding cars isn't just about going fast... its about taking something thats stock and making it better then what it was. Its that simple... doesn't matter if its a honda or a vette, modding is modding. I've put 6 grand into my 80 malibu... i could have saved that cash and the 4k i bought it for and bought an ls1, but i like my malibu and i want to mod it to make it different from the other malibus around. This shouldn't even be an argument, its a simple modding addiction.

Ls1 is a great engine and so is the buick 3800 as well. I get 31mpg on the interstate and in 5th gear , compared to your 6th, i run about 2k at 70mph. why does it have to be one better then the other. In my opinion these are two different cars. WAIT they are, firebird and trans am... i mean come on, why does it matter.

ya'll can say what you want but I just remembered I also have a 2.2ecotec in the family....8+6+4= ownz joo! thats like 10000hp w/50mpg at 230mph...bwah bhawa.....

oh and the main reason I'm here is to try and start the movement against halos, that's all I do, I'm useless besides taht......as you can see, it's not working very well....so I'm still useless....but I'm good for winning a few car shows online :D :D
