  • ...So, I'm eyeing up the GTO now

Took a 6.0l for a test drive today at Reedman in Bensalem PA, and I was very impressed! That car MOVED when I stood on it! It had a black/red leather interior and a 400 hp 6.0l engine and 1,500 miles on the odo. Two things I didn't like was -no moon roof or removable top whatsoever- and it was an automatic. I may be able to overlook the roof, but I want a stick shift (so the wife cannot drive it).:naughty: Nah, I think a high horsepower vehicle should have a manual trans. JMO though. It sounded great though when I throttled-up:banana:

If I were to buy it, I'd definitely look into hockey or racing stripes, better intake & exhaust, aftermarket rims, etc. Something to set it apart from the rest of them out there.

I know I've asked before, but any feedback on the GTO's?

Everyone thinks their the ****. Awesome car. Best car GM has made in decades. No better value for money. They're ugly as sin. Its not really an american car you know? Looks like a Grand Prix.

I think that covers pretty much all the standard opinions.

Yeah, I wish that the designers did a better job, but oh well...
I really want a SuperSport Camaro, but I may consider this. Especially after driving it:bowdown: For those who are non-believers...test drive it! That car friggin' moves!

        I heard great things...drivetrain...interior

styling is kind of bland...but you could make it sweet...

black and blue are the best colors imo

          About to hit-the-sack, but wanted to ask;
Can anyone photoshop hockey stick stripes or racing stripes for me on a red 2006 with a ramair hood? Possibly black stripes.

          Thank you! ...& g'night

I love em... I don't think they look sporty enough for the horsepower they have, but then again that can be to an advantage to those who like sleepers. With the aftermarket wheels and upgraded exhaust/intake... you would have one hot GTO. Everyone that I have seen have been stock.

Re: ...So, I'm eyeing up the GTO now

My buddy has a 2006 and that thing moves crazy. I love just about everything about it, but the exterior is definitely the weak spot.

You can't really get on it too much about not looking like a muscle car though, because afterall, it is a holden car imported from australia that came with much smaller v6s and was meant to be a luxury car. They brought it to america, put a fake ram air hood on it and a spoiler, big engine and called it good.

I love the interior and wouldn't change a thing, I think the exterior could use some improvements, but oh well. My buddy's is basically stock so far, as he is saving for a twin turbo kit, and will install once the waruntee is up, but he removed the resonators, and when that thing revs up high, it's the most beautiful sound in the world.

They are beautiful cars, and from my many rides in it, i can tell you it's one awesome car!

                      Good luck with it!
