  • The unofficial Welcome to CamaroV6 thread...

I figured I would make a thread for people who are just coming here and are in the dark about some of the comments made... if i miss anything, please add it in a post.

Well, one of the first things you might need to know is that vanbiber and strtracer98 are somewhat known for their negative comments, so if you experience one of these, don't panic...you'll get over it.

Another thing is, if you hear someone making fun of UDLOSE98's car saying it wont run...this is due to the fact that for the past ___ (insert correct months here) it hasn't. Even though recently he has got it to run most people refuse to accept this (is it running right though?)

Another comment that is frequently made is to say "this is a tech post". Tech was a member here who made some of the most blatently obvious and useless suggestions (and most of the time they were waaay off). helpful posts from this user were few and far between, which ultimately led to his downfall and ban from this board for a thread which was completely out of hand.

One final note...If anyone sees Niko97rs in a thread, get ready for the thread to turn completely off topic and towards the topic of everyone wanting to get with his sister...

Hope this helps and please add some of your own that I may have missed ;)

Also, try not to be blatently whorish like the above mentioned.

One thing to know: If you mention your sister, even in passing, you must post pics or be banned :)

              But...
Ive been a member of a lot of auto BBS's, for a long time, and I have never seen one with lifers moaning about 'noobs' using the search function as much as this one!

Well it gets annoying after you've been here for a while and realize that the same question is being asked over and over again for 5 years running, it gets rediculous. Thank you

                    A. It's easier and faster to search...

                    B. For those smart people who answer questions on here, it saves them lots of time and effort. I've been here for 5 months and have seen countless 'what mods can i do' and such...

Yeah, but in the same some folk just enjoy the social aspect of talking to another person. I'm sure after 5 years, there's probably not much that hasn't been mentioned here. New posts would go the way of the Firebird.

People should use the search function, then if they don't come up with an answer, make an educated post based on what they've learned. There are plenty of unanswered questions, and many threads are ambiguous. There will ALWAYS be a reason for new posts. What people get annoyed by are the basic questions that have been answered 1,000,000,000,000,000 times.

There are rules/etc. listed in the stickies at the top of every forum, if I'm not mistaken. Noobs should read these.

I agree we should maybe be a little nicer about telling people to use the search function. If you know the answer, go ahead and tell them, it takes the same amount of time to answer the question as it does to post a comment telling them to use the search.

However some threads are jus ridiculous and the people making them should be shot. I'll be happy if all the n00bs read the stickies, after that, they can post a dumb question if they want, because most of the annoying posts are covered in the stickies
