what really is a "ricer"?

can someone tell me this? cuz i really want a wing on my car but i dont really want to be considered a ricer so can someone on here recommend a wing that would look good with my 96 firebird? if theres no such thing in a wing thats not ricy please tell me...

TA spoiler would look sweet

Rice to me can be both the car (all show, no go, unecessary visual 'mods') and the attitude (idiototic driving, street racing)

i mean some people say a wing is for imports like on fast and the furious but yet i see mustangs with a wing on it and nobody seems to care bout that but if a firebird/camaro did this they would get chewed out for it...or my neons i had at 1 time...imo those things look good on any car as long as the whole car looks clean

well i dont street race haha and try not to make dumb moves, but im really looking into a body kitt and wing and bigger rims if thats not too xtreme...my freind drives a civic and its basically all show and no go but he dont try to make it go...he dont even race anybody which im kinda the same way

well maybe alum. but i dont want it to be 50 feet high like alot of them are,im wanting somthing like nascar has right now a short wing so to speak...

well do whatever you want but most of the time spoilers that are way too big, really odd shaped are considered rice but ones that blend into the car and are not too big tend to be nice... just my 2 cents

thats exactly what i was trying to say i want a alum or fiberglass wing that would look right with a firebird w/out being stock, i like the t/a spoiler but i want to be different.

even these are ugly as sin... if you wanna be different then try gettin wheels no one has or something like that. Its just the whole way the firebird is setup that stock spoilers look the best.

You could get away with something different on other cars but not most sport cars

the civic with the dramatic spoiler and fartcan exhaust was THE icon of rice. that was just the beginning. it has since grown and influenced much more than honda civics. now ricers point the fingers at each other and swear they are not the riceboy.
