Don't give up hope man. Hope is what keeps me going in life. Specifically- Hope that someday I will have my 2002 sunset metallic orange WS6 with TT2's. There is a reason why your motor broke down, perhaps it was just a fore-warning so you can bullet-proof your motor even more to prevent problems down the road. Good luck and dont lose hope!!!!!

Sounds stupid but maybe the simplest things. Check torque values when buttoning it up again. Replace the head gasket, if it's had a lot of weight on and off of it, it may distreess a little bit. just my .02
Let's flip a coin. Heads I get tail, Tails I get head.

is that supposed to look like that?, only other thing i can think of would be piston rings, but that would not explain the coolant

That's not actually the cylinder wall where' you're seeing that shape. I think it's the top of the block. Look at this pic he posted earlier, looking down into the cylinder:

Looks to be the outline from the gasket.

Re: Just got done pulling the head

you are looking at the edge of the gasket which is larger than the cylinder

dropped the head off today, company does not magnaflux, but does do pressure testing, and will recheck all surfaces, hopefully i will have an update tomorrow.

if it's abbott's fault shouldnt they replace the head?

they either pressure test or flux all heads before they go out, so its not their fault
