I saw this the other day and was going to post it up, but every time i post news i find, it ends up being a repost even though i visit this site several times daily, i somehow miss what i find. I guess it wasn't going to be a repost this time :(
You people need to read more than just the title, you all sound like idiots. *****ing and complaining about something that will not affect the 5th Gen Camaro.
From Lutz himself:
Lutz declared it's too late to stop the Camaro, but said "anything after that is questionable," apparently including Camaro derivatives and the Impala sedan.
READ THE WHOLE THING, the Camaro will be RWD as planned.
The government didn't put GM in the position it's in, stupid business decisions and the UAW did that,
UAW has nothing to do with it. You act like GM pays this LARGE percentage of the gross profit to the UAW for its benefits and pay, and its just not the case.

WTF... No one even mentioned the word Camaro in this thread.
I don't like it because I would like to see more interesting RWD cars from GM like the G8 and the new GTO.

Haha, I was gonna say that. I think he is the one who looks like an idiot :p I know it won't affect the cars that are already planned, and I agree with you, I was looking forward to seeing what GM was going to offer in the future for RWD cars..:(
i dont understand why it should make any diffrence wether it's rwd or fwd . They both use the same engines . So whats the problem with cafe ratings on rwd . i mean the impala allready has the 5.3 in it .
I for one would rather drive a RWD V6 than a V8 FWD. Who cares what size engine they are? RWD is much more fun, and handle a lot better. Why would I want FWD when i have an option?

I'm with you, why does it matter if its FWD or RWD??
Heres a quote from some of the comments to the news article: LOL
--"How many more 4000 pound, V8-powered behemoths carrying a single person do we need clogging our freeways?"
--"and the earth is flat.
and you can get AIDS from toilet seats.
and if you let gays marry, it'll kill the sanctity of marriage.
Whatever your conspiracy cap tells you."
Theres some funny comment on there

who wants an impala anyway. kill that and throw the LS7 into the 5th gen camaro. let them push for more efficient cars. GM will find a way to make a fuel efficient V8 that hauls A$$.
who wants an impala anyway.... GM will find a way to make a fuel efficient V8 that hauls A$$.
Good takes.
But GM will be forced to only with govt arm-twisting, as they have proved since the '30s. If they survive. And a Camaro will not save them. If they cannat make an Accord devotee lust for a Malibu, even Kerkorian cant help em...
Yeah, I like how most global warming enthusiasts completely overlook the fact that the sun is also getting brighter and hotter in their attempts to convince the world that we are killing the planet.
Flat wrong. Climatologists do include increased solar radiation in their analyses. Also volcanoes. The sun is responsible for about 10% of the warming. Volcanoes decrease warming a little bit.

Global warming skeptics make "logical" arguments but the scientific data is overwhelming. Global warming is real.
Like I surmised earlier; Short term profits over longterm job creation. They think that is 'logical'...
Didnt they learn from making those SUVs? It shames me to watch our industrial elite carry on, while the people they are actually screwin resent Gore and his ilk because they are 'Godless intellectuals"... and vote for pro-business lobby hacks that sends their jobs to the 3rd world(where true fossilfuel/carbon pollution is growing, financed by our debt).
Some folks dont wanna be reasonable. They think economic disruption is much more likely to cause harm to the USA, and that said disruption is much more likely than man-made contributions to GW (as opposed to mankind being the primary source and/or cause).
Plus, eco-fanatics want less carbon burning for their own purposes of natural preservation, with the good of the USA 2nd, and so loose street cred with Joe 6pack....

What we should do about it is a reasonable topic for debate. Its' existence isn't.
I guess the fact that we are just now approaching our million year average temperature doesn't mean anything either. No one is denying the fact the the planet is getting hotter. What is being debated is whether or not humans are causing it. Even if we are, it simply doesn't matter. As I have stated the planet will almost always fix itself and what we are doing now simply does not make the slightest difference in the long run. The planet has been through much worse than what its going through now, yet its perfectly fine.
Hi, everyone. We bought a 97 base model convertible Camaro and someone broke the motor ... Lights were blinking on the dash and that someone ignored the...
Still trying to find oil leak on my Camaro, it’s a tough one. I think it is the oil pressure sender myself. Leaking when raving and going into boost....
