i know this is in the wrong place, but i needed a quick answer and this is the best place. i know im stupid , but do headers get hot really hot really fast...and make everything else really hot, which is bad for ur car unless ur doin nothin really but drag racin????? cause im thinking about gettin some but i drive my car daily...about 30 miles a day ..please post an answer....thanks

Hottest part of any car is the headers/exhaust manifolds. They get really hot, within 10 seconds or so of starting the car. I have burned myself on alot of parts on a warm engine, but not nearly as bad as just slightly grazing a hot header. Scarred myself with that one.

But whether you have exhaust mani's or headers, they're going to get hot about the same time, and just as hot.

if you get the ceramic coated headers, they will be fine. the painted ones dont handle the heat well.
