the good thing is you really been sort of out of it with the bird for awhile, its been ages since you raced it. You know you would never get rid of the bird but always keep it around. Not sure how flooded chasis go, but maybe sell it cheap to someone to build a race car out of. But I wouldn't waste the time to rebuild it or build a new v6, seems like you have grown out of the racing phase...
wow, thats the end of an area. all three cars i used to idolize have moved on. tiago's, magnus's and yours are essentially no more, or at least no longer v6's
man that sucks . if you get to it soon enough you you'll br able to dry it out and be fine , pull the plugs , drain the fluid fill with fresh remove the interior , spray electrical with power lube . the pcm should be sealed so it'll be fine . At least it aint wrecked. it's the miricale of weather pack connectors . they dont let water in .
Geez.. I'm So Sorry. That's terrible news. The rain and flooding has been aweful here. Maybe the car will end up being ok. We are still suppose to get some more light showers for the next few days though. :(
Dude as much as we joked around about pushing it in the river, we never meant it, i was really upset when u told me yesterday, it actually took me a while to realize that its gone. im so sorry man, i know how much that car meant to you. i hope you do decide to rebuild, you know ill help ya.
sorry dude........this is a great loss to our community ......... i kinda got my own wake up call on monday too ........ i was sleeping at home .........around 6:30 i woke up to check on my car because something wasn't feeling right ........ look out the window and i see my car is sitting on half rim (atleast 6") of water .....i rushed outside to move the car to a higher location ..........but anyway, what's your plan for the car now? ...... that bird made magazine article so it's a historic car ............ very sad story ..............
Since I've registered on this board (almost 5 years ago now) you and your bird have been an inspiration to me.
Try to salvage everything you can. Maybe re-do the electrical system? Drop in a new drivetrain. This is sad, don't give up on her unless you have to. :(
