Member's Carfax Accounts Could Be Closed!

It has been brought to our attention that carfax is monitoring our forum. There has been atleast one member banned from their unlimited carfax reporting because the replied to another members thread requesting a free report.

If anyone needs a carfax report, please create a thread requesting it, do not include a VIN number, so that it may not be tracked. This thread will then be closed by moderators. It is then up to members who do have the service to monitor these threads and get ahold of the members who need them.

well when they see someone running reports on 20-30 fbody cars it is going to throw up red flags. I know of a couple people that lost their memberships from doing to many reports

Well the simple answer is to just take it all to email. That and if you're gonna do hook people up with carfax reports then just don't over do it and draw suspicion... :poke:

But yes, its up to the carfax user to use thier discression and not go overboard.

While I have not been contacted to remove anything from Carfax. This is a reminder why we have email addresses PUBLIC. Those member that opt'd for the WHOLE 10 bucks for Supporting membership to get PM use. And those that do use email and PM's, remember to delete your trail as much as possible.
