I didn't need another reason, and this level of work by Midas FAR surpasses the new $250 exhaust that FELL out of my truck. At least they had the decency here to glue it in place.

took it in once, small tranny shop, the car wouldnt move forward and I would have never found the problem on my own.

If this is the case, then prepare to handle the consequences of your stupidity/negligence/ignorance/laziness. DIY F T W!!!

Last time I had my Monte in the shop was to replace the alternator, something I just didn't have the time or patience to do. The local shop did an EXCELLENT job, and only cost me $350. Other than that, I had my Firebird at a Meineke to weld the ypipe up, and because it was a franchise shop, they did a pretty good job. The only other time I had a car in a shop was to fix a misfire with my Camaro, which the dealership wanted to charge me $210 to flop TWO WIRES on the coils. They were wired right at the plug, but there were two that were flopped at the coil, and they were right next to each other. $210 to take 15 seconds and flop two wire boots, and for a problem they caused in the first place.

i thought one of the main purposes of a forum, other than to show of your car, was to get info on how to fix them. doing it yourself is a heck of a lot cheaper. the less expirenced people that know little about cars, still could learn a lot. thats why you just ask. theres plenty of people out here nice enough to offer help. basically try it yourself first, ask a lot of questions, take your time, and you'll save a lot of money. i had a friend take her areostar in to get the thermostat changed, it cost her like 60 bucks and the part was probably five. all she had to do was take two bolts lose and pop out. 20 mins top.
