Yup.... sold the neon Friday night.

My left knee (after 3 surgeries and a bazillion problems) could no longer handle a manual transmission car.

Good thing is... the neon went to a good home A certified f body car guy. All the stock and modified parts went with the car.

I am now pimping in my womans hyundai elentra with a million miles.

Not sure what I will do about a replacement automatic car.... I'll pick one up over the summer.

Dude, suck up the pain and drive a manual :) I've had 11 surgeries on my knee and leg so far and I can still shift. It hurt for the first few months, but I was dedicated for my manual days not to be over and just kept pushing it and pushing it until it got used to engaging the clutch and letting of the gas and vice versa.

But yeah, I'm sorry you had to sell your Neon, I remember the day I sold mine. I so didn't want to, but I needed the money. I loved my little Neon sport, with it's cobalt blue fade to purple paint job with the gay flake in it and all :P

Hope you find a cool replacement car

Because they are fun little cars to drive, and with the right paint job......they are totally chick magnets (for younger women that is).

As for trying to deal w/ manual and my knee..... I'm not getting any younger.... and why put myself through the pain of shifting?

That is why it is gone.

The E-Class is for my fiance..... every now and then I will steal it.

As for what to get next..... I would be very happy if it was a 6 cylinder that gets around 30 mpg.... we shall see.

F hybrids!

They aren't all they are cracked up to be.

With the new EPA standards for fuel economy their fuel economy #'s have come down drastically.... and they are for hippies! I'm no hippie! :slap:

I would recomend a 350z with the auto. I drove one and they are beautiful. A good amount of power and the auto/stick option is quick and responsive. Plenty of upgrades available to get you to the power the bird used to be at.

Well.... I will most likely go to Mercedes.... because I can get them damn cheap... and get a new one every year.

As for modifying..... dunno... I wouldn't do it to a benz.... and I have many spare f body parts.... eh... who knows
