93 because its tuned for it, i get like 18 mpg or so though, yeah that sucks, and i'm soon to be spraying, so yeah, sucks that gas just went up to 3.20 today for regular, which makes it 3.40 for premium, yeah, this sucks...
My engine detonates otherwise if I use anything less. Its becuase of the mods I have. Even now I hear a little bit of pinging but I think its the rockers...SEAFOAM!!

I thought I read somewhere on here higher mileage V6's should run higher grade because of the carbon? Anyway. If I run 87, or even 92 in the motor, I get a pinging noise, very annoying, sounds like the motor's ticking. Otherwise with 93, it shuts the hell up. :)

Well you can say what you want but I know from personal experince I run a bone stock 3.8 and if i run 87 I lose power and m.p.g. I run 93 and it runs like a sewing machine and gets 410 miles to a tank maybe my cars the only one that does that. And Idont get the 93 because I've plenty of money to throw around cauz I'm poor
I'm with him on the MPG. When I was driving 60 miles one way to work I started paying attention and if I remember right I got 2.5 more MPG on midgrade than regular and I think an extra .5 more MPG on Premium than mid so for the value of a buck I use mid.
