this is such a joke, If I was the owner of a gas station, I'd just make gas cheap on the 15 and raise it after that day when everyone needs gas.

You'll drive them out of business eventually forcing the sale of fuel at a lost and removing tons of jobs at the same time.

So I guess we shouldn't be persuing fuel efficent cars and alternate fuels, wouldn't want to put anyone out of the fuel distribution business!!

One of the reasons why gas prices in North America have remained substantially lower than in Europe is that there are large reserves still kicking around here. It must just kill OPEC knowing that the Alberta tar sands has as much oil as Saudi.

exactly... if the stations pay attention and see that they have an extremely low amount of fillups on a given day, then they could predict that there would be significantly more fillups on subsequent days. meaning: they jack up prices and end up making more money because of people needing to fill up from not doing so on the 15th

2. That's the most retarded thing I've heard since lambo101s "Winning Lottery Number Picking Machine". As many people already said that not buying gas can only raise the price the next day. I am going to fill up both of my cars just because many retards will not buy gasoline on 15th and price will be higher the next day or week. I don't know who the heII comes up with these stuff. I have got like 17 text messages from different people telling me this. Stop wasting my time and money (each text .10 cents) :mad:

Did I say that? Noooo...who's gonna develop alternative fuels? Big Oil...why? Because they've been in the fuel industry since day one. How will they develop it? All business develop with the money they make. Profits. Not gross, but net profits...you can't make profits selling at a lost. It's a domino effect...think about it. Nothing wrong with fuel efficent cars...but they still use gas!

No! It's not even our reserves...Democrats passed a bill stating the reserves will not be tapped, nor refineries built or any drilling...why are our gas are cheaper than Europes though? Taxes as SpeedingFirebird stated.

Gas here in oregon is absolutely ridiculous. on average it's about 3.40 now, and i've seen it as high as 3.62 in portland. This is for REGULAR. Premium was as high as 3.85!!!

Big whoop. The UK has more than enough petrol thanks to its many North Sea drilling operations, but its still 99 pence a litre there because of taxes.

Oh and not to mention the difference in price of refining oil vs. tar sands....



I hate this subject... its so depressing when people talk about gas shortages and whatnot :(
