this is such a joke, If I was the owner of a gas station, I'd just make gas cheap on the 15 and raise it after that day when everyone needs gas.
Gas station owners have no say in the base price of the gas. That is made by the oil tycoons themselves, along with the government. Price can go higher if the owner wanted, but not lower.

The better plan is single out an individual company (like Shell or Exxon) and to boycott it for an extended period. Like a week or two. The company will have no choice but to lower prices to get people back to the pumps. The other companies would want to follow suit to avoid losing their customers. Then you boycott the next company. The rotating company boycott would work better lower the price over a longer period.
That would help, but its not going to send gas prices back to the 1.50 we used to know and love. Oil is a publicly traded commodity, and until the price of oil per barrel falls (which the invisible hand of our market controls) we wont get back to the way things used to be.

I did some math and it turns out that after you do the conversions I'm paying about $4.75 a gallon ($1.15 Cdn / litre) in Montreal, Canada. I'm finding it very difficult to feel bad for you guys complaining about 3 bucks.
Don't feel bad for us.........it only takes my truck 28 dollars to get to a quarter of a tank when it's almost on E.........so yeah, I try to keep my driving down to a minimum. That truck is a gas guzzler.
Gas station owner told to raise prices
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
MERRILL, Wis. -- A service station that offered discounted gas to senior citizens and people supporting youth sports has been ordered by the state to raise its prices.
Center City BP owner Raj Bhandari has been offering senior citizens a 2 cent per gallon price break and discount cards that let sports boosters pay 3 cents less per gallon.
But the state Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection says those deals violate Wisconsin's Unfair Sales Act, which requires stations to sell gas for about 9.2 percent more than the wholesale price.
Bhandari said he received a letter from the state auditor last month saying the state would sue him if he did not raise his prices. The state could penalize him for each discounted gallon he sold, with the fine determined by a judge.
Bhandari, who bought the station a year ago, said he worries customers will think he stopped the discounts because he wants to make more money. About 10 percent of his customers had used the discount cards.
Dale Van Camp said he bought a $50 card to support the local youth hockey program. It would have saved him about $100 per year on gas, he said.
