Got My First Base Assignment!!!

I was just notified that I have to report to Hurlburt Field in Florida on 11 August!!! I'll be working in a Support Squadron in the one and only Air Force Special Operations Wing!

I will be there on "casual status" for one year. Casual status is when they give those who are going to pilot training a job that requires no training, basically you are somebody's b1tch and doing paperwork, but its in freakin Florida! :rock:

I am SUPER PUMPED for this!!

I start pilot training in August 2008, I still dont know where I will go for that though. When I find out I'll let ya know.

Yes, but unofortunately I will be at ASBC at that time. Its a 6 week school all 2d Lt's have to go to :(

within an hour drive from Pananma City Beach.

I got a buddy thats a linguist stationed there and another friend thats on the F-15 demo team at Eglin. Have fun, watch out for all the old people.

My granddad was stationed around Tampa for a few years back int he day. He was a first master sergeant in the air force. Its where my dad was born. I thought about going into it but its just not for me
