1st Ticket

Got my first speeding ticket today. 60 in a 45 zone. I was just getting on the throttle when taking off from the light and right when I let off, he passed me and pulled a U-turn. I guess I will just go to traffic school and start paying off the $169.00 This sux really bad. I never speed and have never recieved any violation of any sort. Just my luck the way things have been going now days.

My 70 in a 55 was $165. I paid $100 to an attorney to drop all 4 points to a non insurance reportable parking ticket. Catch, ticket up to $250. Did get me 2 months to pay though.

bah.. i hate that 60 in a 45. i just got that one myself about a year ago.

My 1st ticket was 59 on a 35 and it was only $130. I got a "ticket" this afternoon 'cause I was speeding at work. The rent-a-cop followed me until I parked my car in front of one of the stands I work at (Six Flags over GA) and he gave me this note saying that it was a warning and that next time my driving decal would be taken up, which gives me the right to drive into the park during closing hours.

What pisses me off is I've gotten away with 90 in a 55!!!! but i can't get away with 60 in a 45... well actually it was 63 in a 45. I've been pulled over more then 15 times that I can count and now I get a ticket. Lexington metro police suck! I was getting ready to get a new cd player but guess not.

WHat kind of courts do you guys go to???? My first speeding ticket was $400 and 2 points to my license and that's after going to court. You should deff. go to court and lower or eliminate the points.

well i have never been pulled over and givin a ticket (as a driver) i got my 1st ticket yesterday for no seatbelt RIDING with someone! of all ways to get ur 1st ticket :mad:

I got a ticket for 80 in 65. Was raped with a $250 fine.

My first ticket was 64 in a 40 with my old ford probe... lol it was my first car, and I was a minor at the time so my ticket was like 75 bucks and i took some lecture class thing to get my points taken away.

What sux is the fact my gf's cousing works at the sheriff's office and could have gotten me out of it, but the cop that got me was a metro and not county. I guess I'll just pay the court fees of 139 dollars and then take the stupid 3-4 hour traffic school class. I'm not worried about points as much as insurance. If I take the class then they will sponge it and I won't have the insurance company seeing it or other cops seeing it when they pull me over. Most of the time they always said "you have a clean record so I will give you a warning" But not this ****.

thats the thing about the 60 in a 45. piggies hiding in "plain view" with radar guns aimed at the point where everyone is going 60 in the 45 zone. you're always going to get the ticket because they set up there just to give them out.

it's different if they're cruising around and happen to catch you speeding - there a verbal warning is possible.

I just did the traffic school and cops can see you got a ticket and "requested" traffic school. They can't see if you attended it or not but they will know you've been pulled over before if they look you up. Scool wasn't that bad.....wasn't that good either :poke:

well then, you should be happy that it took 16 times for them to finally give you a ticket, lol. when you think about it, you pretty much only spent about $10.50 for each time. haha.
