What are some things to specifically look for in a 98+ Firebird? What should I be on the lookout for? I know that the window motors commonly crap out, but what else?

Re: Advice on buying 98+ Firebird?
All firebirds suck, go Camaro
But really, just look for the basics, fluids, inspect the engine bay/underside, when you take it out for a spin, test the handling, brakes, acceleration, etc
I wouldn't let bad window motors or small little things stop you from buying a car1999 Camaro Z/28

Re: Advice on buying 98+ Firebird?
Hello I'm new here and I am also looking for advice, I have an old third gen but i am looking to but a fourth for a daily driver. any advice would be apreciated. also am i to understand the 98 model year should be avoided because of the angled throttle body or is it not a big deal? Also im from wisconsin and if anyone knows of a website or online car buying site that has worked well please let me know, thanks

Its tough finding a 98+ Firebird with y87. I recently fell in love with the 01/02 Sunset Orange:drool:

Re: Advice on buying 98+ Firebird?
The only thing i would watch for is the headlight gear and possibly the door panel. neither are a big deal imo. they can be easily fixed. as for the transmission, thats iffy. i bought my y87 bird brand new in 98 and shes completely original, and i drive her very hard. the angled throttle body really doesnt matter unless you want to add mods, and then it still isnt a big deal.
