The big surprise fees are the riding gear.
If you can deal with just Liability coverage, and not go for the collision, its worlds cheaper. And thats no exageration. Also, I could be insane, but I remember reading thru my insurance stuff and it put my bike into the higher tier because it was >599cc. So I think unfortunatley, that is the cutoff, so you still get screwed with a 600. And yup, forgot about the riding gear. Now times 2 for your woman. I think you should get the bike. But I think you should buy the scooter for your "economy", lol. :)

Yea, but these guys got us by the b@lls. If Pepsi decided to charge 10 bucks a bottle, I'd stop drinking it. If Coke followed suit, I'd drink water. If these guys raise prices, I have to make dramatic changes to my lifestyle.

They don't really have us by the balls, I mean for some sure.. But in all honesty it works the same way, supply/demand and how the profit % to sales amount ratio goes.. If gas was $15 a gallon they would sell nearly none, everyone in larger cities would be walking, bus, train, bike or in the least a much more fuel efficient vehicle.

Now granted that doesn't cover everyone, it does cover a strong mass, and in the end would hurt their end numbers.

Yep, I've been looking at getting a CBR 600RR, (maybe a CBR 600 F4i) prolly a couple years old. Honda says they are actually a 599CC bike. So hopefully that will get me in the lower tier. I need to find out about it.

this needs to end... people need to stop speculating on oil, and we need to start bombing another country.
not another country, our own gas stations, that will make them think about what they are doing and make them listen to us. Those "buy no gas" days don't hurt anyone one bit.

I really think most of us are done arguing about it. Mostly just explaining our personal situations now, but yeah, if you guys are gonna turn it into a free post whoring thread, I'm in.
