Seriously, go rent a cherry picker from AutoZone. And just buy some tarps to cover up items, since you have no where to put them. I started tearing down my firebird in my driveway, with no garage. Though, I did overrun our pool room and make it "Justin's car part holding station". But, anything I didn't feel comfortable carrying the weight all the way inside to that room, for fear of hurting my leg, I left outside covered up with a tarp, or just put it inside the vehicle.
You really are half way there already, if the other engine is already out. I think it would be cake if you rented the cherry picker and had an extra hand or two to help you with the install.
I really am not the one to inspire, I suppose.....because since my divorce, I haven't touched my vehicle, I've barely even looked at it, and this was back in January. But, with all this talk about the blood, sweat, tears and money put into the vehicles, it made me think, that I have contributed the same to my car and I'm giving my word that I'm going to continue starting this weekend. I have to get to my old house and beat down my ex-wife so I can grab all the parts I've promised to sell to certain members, and then continue to tear down and pull the engine. It's been a great learning experience, and that's what kept driving me at the beginning, was that I was learning something new about our engines every time I went outside to work on it. And, that being said, that is the second reason aside from the blood, sweat, tears, and money why I am going to continue on my car until I either A. Run out of money (which really shouldn't be a problem) or B. It's finished.
Please, give it a final attempt, with all you can muster up before you call it quits.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
