I think you should ask Steve again to change your name from "oi bird v8" to "i am ricer v4" .......LOL. I can't say you made an excellent choice on the car but if you like it that's all it matters
:)
iv never heard of a v4.... where you find one of those :-)

OK, allright it's I4. It was more like a joke, because his screen name used to be "oi bird v6"
Btw, I just looked at your car ownership history and seems like you're making the same mistake over and over again. Think before you act!

my hard earned money anyways ... so oh well ... no more is going into the bird so what else am i gunna waste it on
how bout a 92-95 civic? there cheap and still good gas mileage and relaible...better then a 80's supra lol plus it could be faster...
i just was going throw the paper and see theres a 3000gt for 1200 ....might be in **** condision for that price though but i might check that out....
Dude those 3000GT/Stealths can be so tempting... but read up on what repairs and maintenance entails. Big complicated jobs. I think they slid the engines in there with a large shoehorn. Most every one out there for sale is going to need a timing belt (60k/6yr) or the DOHC engine will need alot of money when it breaks. Take a look at some online howtos for the timing belt. There are a few stealths with the SOHC version of the 3.0, maybe a little easier to work on, but SOHC only has like 160 HP. The DOHC without the turbos are about on par with our 3800's
BTW I think that aforementioned supra has a 6? I think the biggest problems with those is headgasket failure due to poor design, and then warpage, but it can be addressed.
Yeah I've looked into some of these as well...
and I really don't like hondas, except s2000 and maybe some preludes

my girlfriends mom has a 3000gt and they own a stealth too..he knows his **** ill prolly bring him along if i check it out...
Edit: ..the 7mge/gte is a bad design thats why alot of peopel with the 3rd gens go swap a 1jz into them... better engine but still isnt the 2jz
kala wheres that civic located u know??
Granted I couldn't get a decent 3rd gen for less then $3500, but I did some digging and eventually I got...
92, 5.0 5-speed
75k miles, runs great, traps 94ish, runs hig 14s, coudl hit mid 14s if I can cut better then a 2.3 60', came with 5-lug conversion/4 wheel disc, subframes, shifter, and exhaust. Has a little rust, won't win car shows without alot of work
Runs on 87, and gets 18-19 mpg City
its possible the cheapest easiest car I have every worked on.
$2700
And the average Small block chevy or Small block Ford, youcould **** in the intake, it will go through the motor and run fine. Its just the piddly stuff that will screw with you, you won't have to worry about major things like major interior motor problems. There are gusy running boost on 200k motors in fox bodys.

You know my friend I posted about earlier who has the n/a 87 Supra? Well, it gets like 12mpg. I know the n/a ones are rated 17 bye the EPA, so the turbo ones cant be any better...
If you want gas mileage you're looking at the wrong car.
Face it man, there is nothing cool about this car. The negatives of it far out-weigh the positives which by the way the only positive is being able to tell people you drive a turbo supra and watch all the ricers bow to you b/c apparently nothing is better than a supra in their eyes.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
