They said nothing about suspending my license or anything else for that matter.

Me: "I had a court date schedualed for yesterday that I missed. How do I go about fixing this problem?"
Clerk: "Your Name?"
Me: "'insert my name'"
Clerk: "That will be $151."

I paid, got my reciept (Which I am definitely keeping in the car), said Thank you, then left. Nothing more, nothing less.

I assume that means no suspension or further penalties

you got lucky, my bro got his license suspended, didn;t get arrested, but screwed up his insurance for 5 years.

haha, have YOU ever been pulled out of your car, handcuffed, chained to a counter in a police station for a good two hours while they tried pulling out your facial piercings with PLIERS, and then handcuffed to a bench for a few hours?

yea they had a scene where they had a guy strapped to a chair and they pulled all his facial piercings out with pliers

yeah, i was shaking so much that i couldnt take them out myself, and they had to use pliers. it was just 2 piercings in my eyebrow, but it killed!

No further penalties? Wait until you get your next insurance bill. You just pleaded guilty to a speeding violation and didn't get traffic school.

Tsk Tsk Tsk... now that you paid your fine, you just set yourself up for more problems that will affect / haunt you in the future if you were to land a job that required you to present a clean motor vehicle report through your home states department of motor vehicles. NOW is the time to retrieve an updated motor vehicle history report and compare it to when you were not a "criminal". It's probably too late to pursue this matter further but I bet you're young and yes your insurance rates will come back to bite you in the a$$ later. Experienced leadfoots know lol.

I will be the first to mention here that you should've hired a lawyer to defend your case. He or she would've continued your case for several months to fight the ticket down to a charitable contribution or as in my case a complete dismissal of the speeding ticket (that was 85 MPH in a 55 zone). While the ticket was being fought, I was still not guilty and continued driving with a clear conscience that I was well represented with the best legal representation money can buy to keep my license clean. Sure enough, 4 months later, my ticket was totally dropped.

I highly recommend any of you leadfoots to look into a decent lawyer who specializes in traffic court cases and keep his or her business card handy in your wallet just in case. It's worth it!

In virginia they have this system where every year that you drive without a violation you biuld up points. So if I've been driving for three years I get three points. I can use these points to cancel out the points i recieved for my ticket. So its not going to be too bad
