I just think its sad thats its been thats its been 9 years since the LS1 Camaro was first produced, and Ford STILL hasnt produced anything N/A that can beat it.

9 Years is a long time in the automotive world.

Stock for stock the LS1 will always beat a new GT, assuming both drivers are the same skill level. The new GT's run a high 13 and you could break 12's with a set of drag slicks and an intake on an Ls1. I've seen it.

Mach 1/'01 Cobra was close, they are about on par, especially the Mach 1. And they did it with less displacement than the LS1. Ford doesn't have much research and development in high output NA engines like GM does. In other words it makes much more sense ($$$) to keep using FI and not start a new engine development just because GM still uses NA pushrod engines. Yes they use superchargers and look at what the motors (GT500, '03 Cobra, Ford GT) are capable with the factory internals. At the end of the day, it's run what ya brung. I WISH my LS1 came with a factory blower and forged internals, but if I want more than 600rwhp I'm gonna have to upgrade the short block or get another engine.

Them being intercooled from the factory play a huge role in the pulley dropping abilities.

well not good, theres is a long story so here it goes......

I am driving it back with a friend and we notice a small vibration coming from the rear end....no big deal at all, hardly noticable at all.....well driving along more it starts to get worse, so i call the guy and say "hey man have you ever had these tires balanced?" "...ahm no, I just got them not too long ago off ebay, never had em balanced."

....so im like ok, still no big deal, whatever

all of a sudden going 75-80, BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!! and the car starts swerving and driving like ****. (Probably one of if not the scariest moment of my life.) My friend was able to maintain control of the car and we got it on the shoulder to find out that all 5 studs on the driver side rear tire had been completely sheered off. So called a tow truck got it to the shop, where every employee told us to thank god the wheel did not travel away from the car and instead the rotor landed right back on top of it.......one guy said out of all the years he's been here, he's only seen that happen 3, now 4 times. When I asked them what they thought the cause was they said no doubt it was caused by loose lug nuts. So now i am here, in bum**** TN praying to god that I can get the guy who i bought the car from to take responsibility and pay for this ****.......
