Vette or New Camaro?

Eventually I will get one of the two. So which is it? A 400hp Vette or a (possibly) 400 hp Camaro? LS2 is rumored to be the new Camaro motor, right? Isn't that motor already in the C6? Comments please.

the ls2 is old now, they dont even make them in any of their cars i dont think. As of 08 base c6 vetts will be getting ls3 with about 436hp as well is active fuel management getting 30mpg
also comes with more goodies

an LS4 would be sooo much better...it's TWICE as good as an LS2...

i hope the camaro get's something better than the ls2.

So the choice is a lighter, more expensive vette, or a heavier, same amount of hp comero? Isn't it obvious? I mean, unless there is a new firebird coming out soon, the vette is the only option

I think I'm gonna have to agree with that. The Vette is always going to be GM's top car no matter what. The Camaro will always be "second best" and that sucks for us. Plus, the Vette will always appear to look sleaker compared to the retro look. If they make the Camaro comparable to the Mustang (like the GT 500, for example), then I will probably be sold on it. I love the way they did the whole body kit and hood on that car. Did I just say that? :slap:

yess.. i know it's the GXP engine..5.3L..

a friend of mine was telling me about the stupid people that were confused as to why his vette didn't come with an LS4 oposed to the LS2 because it's "twice as good" lol. it is a bit wierd that they chose that name. LS1-5.7 LS2-6.0 LS3-6.3 LS4-5.3? LS7-7.0 etc..

The ls2 won't be in the new camaro. Its gong to be the 6.2 more then likey. We don't really know what the options are going to be yet. The new camaro will be great, Id imagine the engine bay will be pretty easy to work on.

I love the C6 vettes though, I was going to buy a vette, but i found to good of a deal on a t/a to pass up.

The vette you wont have the first year production recalls so that is always a bonus.

Eventhough the Vette is GM or America's for that matter top sports car the Camaro will always get more stare. And more appreciation from car enthusiast.

I vote Camaro.
