    Amphicar "Maiden Voyage" (Vids)

    So my father is in the middle of restoring a 1967 Amphicar. It's not finished yet, but today was the first day he tested it out in the water. What a blast, haha. Check out the vid links at the bottom. Mind you, these are the before pics:

    I would have posted this in the "Other Rides" section, but I can't help to show off my fathers work where people actually post, lol. Besides, theres (EDIT) Three Mustangs and a Dakota thread in the lounge anyway, so I think this can slide.

    Pretty cool though huh? He went to a car show on Saturday and drew the biggest crowd by far. It's def unique.

          Nah, not really. Thats the skill behind it, doing all the work yourself and saving a few bucks in the meantime :). Besides, whatever is invested, he'll make back, no doubt. I guess one in excellent condition just sold for a good 100 grand.

                          Yup. It's registered and insured seperatley as a boat and as a car.

                            They loaded right up for me, no problem. You probably could have gotten away with making them a little bigger.
