I read that at LA Times yesterday.

I live in Riverside Co. and work in San Bernardino. Street racing here is crazy and that's why I don't do it. I'm not going to waste my mom's hard earn on my car...lol

Dont they have frequent check points in the IE somewhere? If you drive by a certain area, will a cop pull you over and inspect your car to see if its modified? If it is modified to their liking, they will impound it?

Thats total BS, if its true, they cant just take someones car away for just looking like it "street races". I'm glad I dont live in CA or canada.
Pretty soon we will all be driving around in small cars like they have in some places in Europe that dont have enough power to get up a hill.

Be thankful you don't live in Tampa either. They are just as strict on street racing and modified cars as California. Whenever the cops found all the local straight aways where the street racers had their fun......they took it to the hwy. What did they find on the hwy when they tried to race, helicopters flying overhead with a spotlight on them until cops got there and pulled them over.

I only lived their for six months, but it was unreal.
