my pedals came in the mail today, and i took my old ones out and put the new ones in. Now i have a clutch pedal :yahoo:
You might think it's easy to swap pedals, but im gonna go ahead and say it was one of the hardest things i have ever done lol. And it was really hot, over 100 when i started.
I just need to mount my clutch master cylinder and ill be all set with the hydrolics part of my swap
about 1400, but my auto was going out and it would of cost more to get a new one or have it rebuilt. So i figured why not swap in what i really want, and save money while im at it :)
i bought a spec stage 1 clutch and a pro 5.0 shifter. The shifter is amazing as far as i can tell with just hooking it up to the tranny and pretending like im driving haha
im pretty sure just swapping the pedals was the hardest part lol.
I had to take out my seat and lay on my back looking up under my cluster. It took me a good 3-4 hors just to swap the pedals.
i should have the entire swap done in about a week. My console stuff is coming in on monday, and some other small stuff like my clutch safty switch and the vss and stuff are coming on the 3rd
that was a small nightmare just getting that supid little u-bolt in. My arm was so chewed up from doing it, I had a bruise/something that was purple raised about a 1/2 in/ and 6 in long on my arm.
An I eventually put a post up on ht elocal boards, tht I would give someone a 20 pack of Bud, if they would come help me get the u-bolt in. This is one of the only things that has ever defeated me in a car where I needed help. (but wasn't too bad this was during beer wars after hurricane Katrina when 20 packs of Budweiser was $3.99, and I had 5 of them in my house)
but the next hard thing you will have iis pulling the auto, everything else is easy just take your time.

lol how do you think i felt? I didnt have a ubolt so i had to go and try and make some other bolts fit. I had to drill my own holes and then try and blindly fit a bolt through the hole into the interior lol.

IT SUCKED!!!
honestly I think using 2 individual bolts is easier then the u-bolt, I was jsut about to do that before I called for some help.
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
