Who here is still on Dial-up????????

Every single time I go into the appearance sub-forum I see people who have posted pictures of their cars and then (56k go-away) who the hell is still on dial up? when dsl is now cheaper than an extra phone line and dial up costs??? Guess I'm just getting tired of seeing the new 'funny' catch phrases to tell people that their photos are large...we get it already!!!

I get mad at cable speeds. I would probably throw a dial up connected computer out a window.

Dialup. No choice here at home. Suddenlink wont run cable here because it's "not cost effective". Our phone lines aren't capable of supporting DSL (according to Verizon), but they are "constantly working to improve the coverage area". Dish is our only option, but $400 for the equipment and $60 a month for 700K is not that great of a deal. There's no cell service here at home either so I can't get online over a cell provider either. Dialup is only $20ish a month, so we'll deal with it till the price of dish comes down some more.

So to answer you're question, I'm on dialup with relatively no options.


I'm on cable up at school, usually getting around 3 Mbps. Oh well.

We had dial up for a while until my dad realized getting rid of the extra line and getting DSL would be cheaper. So yeah. DSL for me. Works for surfing the internet quite well, but download speeds are still slow at 180kb/s max
