I could probably get a one day kitchen pass. I Vote for Ohio as well.

I think Dayton or Cincinnati would be perfect locations. Maybe towards the end of this race season shooting my 4.2L forged stroker for some records?

Maybe see if we could possibly even rent out a track? That would be awesome to have a track ALL to CV6/FV6.

i'd do it. time off, money and distance isn't an issue for me. i've already done something like 8 hours for a meet with like 5 of us.

I'm up for it. I still like the idea of hitting Pigeon Forge, TN. If you guys vote for ohio, that's prolly close enough for me. MidOhio Valley anybody. Or If you all want to do somewhere near Gallipolis Ohio, we can head out to Kanawha Valley Dragway in WV for some 1/8 mile racing.

So are we really looking to do this before the end of the summer? Could be a little rush jobbed, but i guess that would be the best time. And like Hokie said, there needs to be something going on for sure, i'm a big fan of the race day idea... even tho i wouldn't be able to run.

THe local thing we try to do, kinda on a half-assed scale for RLV6. Because something like this takes time to plan, I wouldn't be up for planning anything for this year. I would most likely say sometime summer next year. I would like to have something large, with atleat 30 people coming from this site alone, representing this site.

Right now, its pure speculation and heresay. I want to find out first who would come and who wouldn't. The more notables that come from this site, the more opportunity that the newbs would come as well. But such an event requires alot of planning, and I don't see anything this summer being a viable solution.

As for exact location, I wouldn't mind renting Kilkare if at all possible (Dayton, OH). And for those of you that would start complaining thinking its close to me or my friends, its still a 6 hour drive from where I live now, so I will be making the long drive myself. But I would suggest if we do rent a track, it be a 1/4 mile track, in a decently populated city, like Dayton.

I wouldn't mind in the beginning of spring either, on a cool day. Cars seem to react better to cooler temps, rather than the heat of summer.

i voted yes as long as its within 10 hours of me at MOST. any more and i'd really hafta get a hotel which is what i really dont wanna do...

Im also thinking that it could be a pretty good solution, is to get motel rooms. I already know I am NOT driving back from wherever to Chicago the same day, not happening. We could set up some kind of room thing with a motel...just an idea.

I like where this is going, lets get some more input.

yeah, if some of us have to drive that 5+ hours to get there and have to drive back home that same day...it would get really tiring. Should get a motel idea like Mogobs suggested.
