I have a question, which I will make into a poll now that I think about it. Who here has the time, resources, and money to attend an event if sponsored by someone? Would anyone be willing to represent this site?
This is all hypothetical talk, but is there anyone still here that would drive for hours to attend a weekend event?

See, thats what I am concerned about. Everyone complaining about DISTANCE. I would drive 5 to 10 hours to attend an event, but what we need is a centrally located thing.
Flyfrito, what do you consider being too far?

I was thinking more south than that. Or a little more east...possibly Ohio or something like that. East coast is a no no....not centrally located enough for that.

Now I would like to hear responses as to why or why not you couldn't attend a centrally located event. Is it the distance, the money? Feedback is a good thing.

As long as I could get about a months notice, I could do the 5hr drive to Memphis or the 7hr drive to Bowling Green. Memphis we could hit Motorsports Park and Beale Street....Bowling Green its the Vette Museum, Vette/XLR assembly plant and Beechbend Raceway.
It's a big country, and no matter where you put it, people will complain about the distance. Personally, I'd drive 10 maybe 12 hours for a GOOD meet. I would be PISSED if I drove 10 hours just to hang out with Dan and his gay a$$ mustang.
Like I have been saying, I have been partial to OH, only because it centralized in the midwest and east coast states. I don't think any farther south than Bowling Green could be doable.
A good meet would be 30 people representing this board to show up at a track to have fun. No need to bring a race car, a modded car or anything. Drive a ****ing hundayi if you want, I could care less, just ask that you represent the site...although, it would be GOOD if you brought your Fbody....:D
If people are willing to drive 10-12 hours for a GOOD meet, then it could be a DAMN nice turnout.
Yeah, I would be interested... Distance... As long as it wasn't more than 10 hours or something crazy.... Matters on what was going on at the meeting. Where it is located... like someone said, as long as it's not in some @#%@ hole that I'm going to have to worry about my car getting jacked... Oo I guess really for me... It would matter the most, where it was located at, not for distance wise, but secure wise... Hope I'm making since... Plus the turn out for the meet, would really suck if only a few people showed up... That's all I can really think of right now...
