  • Casting Call for Fbody Owners

Hiya folks. I'm happy to announce a great opportunity.

We wrapped the pre-production meeting yesterday with a small chain lube and general maintenance company based in the Northern Ohio region. We are producing a 30 second and 15 second cut commercial for local broadcast in their market area. What we pitched was a single shot of a vehicle driving on a country road. The shot starts in the interior, dollies across out the driver's side window, trucks around the car to the front, to the passenger side, then arc-cranes over the roof to the exhaust. The camera slows to a stop and the car drives off. All the while the voice talent does his VO and graphic tag lines pop in, etc, etc. You get the picture.

Anyways, I suggested to the client we use an 4Gen Fbody. This is mainly due to the large doors making is easier to get a camera crane in there, but also 'cause I love my Camaro. :D I also think the Fbody has good public appeal for an ad... American pride and all that there.

So, for all those interested... we are looking for the latest body style 4th Gen Camaro or Firebird that would be interested in working with us. The car must be clean, close to stock in appearance, medium color tones (no black or white)-- red preferred.

You would need to be available sometime near late September. The car will remain stationary, shot on a chromakey sound stage and composited in post. The car wont be driving with cranes flying around, so your car will be safe. ;) The stage is located in Lorain County, which I believe is in the Cleveland, Ohio area.

You will be financially compensated as well-- the best part.

Anyone interested and able? Write-ups and photo submissions should be sent to jim@armediaproduction.com.

    Thanks all!

A mild hood might not be bad. What kind of hood? year, make, color?

To quote the client, "we don't want to use one of those gaudy Honda boy cars." You wouldn't think a hood would make rice, but these folks are adamant about using a stock looking car.

NBM, 17" SS wheels, going to have my magnaflow exhaust (dual tips) and eibach pro kit by that time. I don't have clean pictures of it with the wheels on, but once I do, I'll be sure to post them here. Sounds like a great opportunity!

Bibs!!!! You scolded me last time I had a shoot in Ohio and I didn't announce my presence. Their shipping us a little more north than Cincy this time. How far is Dayton from Cleveland... like 4 hours?
