Chrysler offers LIFETIME Warranty

That's right. Chrysler is offering a lifetime powertrain warranty on their vehicles. The warranty only applys to the original owner and is not transferable. You also have to bring the car in ever 5 years for a powertrain inspection.

It's a pretty bold play to get some cars off the lot. I would imagine they crunched the numbers and know that not many people keep a new car for an extremely long time. I would like to see all the fine print on the warranty to see just how hard it might be to get them to honor it.

Seems like a deal to me....I can fix the el-cheapo cosmetic stuff....mmmm srt-8 with lifetime powertrain...I wonder if it does in fact apply to the SRT's???

EDIT: Nevermind I looked at it a little closer, it's all chrysler brands. I would definitely take an SRT-8 :drool: (black of course)

My buddy had a really good warranty on his brand new truck, and he blew the rear end which was covered under warranty, so he took it in and their "specialists" looked at it and voided the warranty due to abuse and mistreatment.

They inspect the gears and tires and sh!t. Im sure in the fine print it says something like that.

Please don't. ONe of the worst car ever and they are slow as balls. One of my buddy is running 14.9 with a imported chip, exhaust, intake. I can run 14.9 with just a aluminum DS right now. They also look like a dog taking a dump.

Man, if this tatctic wont sell some cars, I dont know what will.

Will this kill the dodge modding scene? I could only imagine that the warrenty would be voided modding the car

yeah, wait 6 months and they'll declare bankruptcy. Betcha ten bucks you'll see their stock price soar in the next few months, the execs will sell their stock and take buttloads of money and the company will fold.

^ There are a fair amount of people speculating that may happen. If you guys don't remember Ceberus bought Chrysler back in may. So they could be looking to jump it's stock price quick and flip it.

If you notice Plymouth is no more. Dodge and Chrysler is not doing too well. Only their trucks are saving them.

Now that Dymler Mercedes let them loose they need to pull something out. The Hyundai 100k warranty saved the company. This lifetime powertrain warranty could also save them. Take it that you don't modify the engine and tranny.

By the way, GM took the #1 spot from Toyota last week. :tup:
