That's right. Chrysler is offering a lifetime powertrain warranty on their vehicles. The warranty only applys to the original owner and is not transferable. You also have to bring the car in ever 5 years for a powertrain inspection.
It's a pretty bold play to get some cars off the lot. I would imagine they crunched the numbers and know that not many people keep a new car for an extremely long time. I would like to see all the fine print on the warranty to see just how hard it might be to get them to honor it.
