Someone I know has a mint 1985 hard top Testarossa and is considering a sale. He wants a convertible instead. The car only has 10,000 miles and has been stored in his garage with many other collector cars. We talked for a while and he said he would consider a trade for my modified 96' Camaro after I told him that I have about the same amount into my car as the value of his. The Testarossa is bright red and a 12 cylinder. The motor is in the rear of the car. It is completely stock. I believe it is 390 hp. I sat in it and everything felt good.
I'm not sure if that will completely fit the bill for me in the way of power. I would like something that is comparable to the 96'. Yet I'd like the car to be naturally aspirated. I am going to take my car to his house sometime this week to make the comparison between vehicles. At least I know (if he likes my car), that if I do decide to part with it, it would go to a collector who would take very good care of it.
I know that car was probably the fastest of it's time back then, but now, I think it's about average for a "fast" car. It was 20 years ahead of it's time, if you think about it.
Opinions?
