Going back to what i said earlier, get someone over there to inspect and drive it a couple miles. If everything checks out, TRADE! I think i would kill to say "dude, i have a ferrari"
You know growing up the Testerossa and Countach were THE cars you wanted. Throw in a 427 Cobra and theres my top 3 as a kid :D
The countach still is, it's about as useful as a blind person driving a mack truck but they're still cool. The testerossa never did anything. The new ferrari's and lamborghini's are just pure sex.
Let's flip a coin. Heads I get tail, Tails I get head.
Actually I have several of them including the 1996 Convertible RS promo poster from GM which has a pic of the car sitting on a cliff on one side and the transparent vehicle illustration of the entire car on the other side. I also have many V8 Camaro posters. ;)
Everyone that is saying "just buy it", is not making an informed decision. I'm going to the bookstore to do some research. There are books on maintenance and ownership costs, pros and cons to owning a Ferrari. :)
Realistically I would say do the trade and then turn around and sell it then go buy yourself a vette. The maint costs even short term are ridiculous. The car in its day may have been a head turner but today other than it being a ferrari won't do a whole lot for very many people.

I'm still missing something here is this a joke? It's a low mileage classic ferrari.
There is ONE listed on autotrader for
$69,900 Price with Mileage at just over 10k
NADA lists the car as:
TOTAL PRICE Low $34,900 Average $44,125 High $75,550
I am unsure what you have in your camaro, but I'm willing to bet it's not 35k?
It doesn't matter maintenance and reliability think of it as an investment. I mean what logic does this decision actually take are you going to drive it daily? How often do you drive your Camaro?
My offer still stands if you don't do it send me a full MOD list of your car and let the guy know I'll build the exact car and trade him and sell the Ferrari for major profit.
Unless this is a kit car and not a legit registered Ferrari I can't think of a reason NOT to get it?

Exactly....
I mean I love a v6 f-body as much as any other on the site... but its just a black v6 with a cutome paint job, a supercharger, nitrous kit, and some other bolt ons....
nothing rare or even that expensive on it.
Granted it is an impressive car, but its not like you have a custom built motor, insane setup. Your car is pretty basic. heck you don't even really race it....
Totally agree with Nachius. It's a no brainer. It's a trade between a 50-60K exotic sports car vs a v6 camaro. V6 camaro's are one of the cheapest car you can find on autotrader. Considering your is modded, it still doesn't hold enough value to be traded for a ferrari. So, ummm can u do the trade and take some picture of you in the ferrari :naughty:??
the Ferrari will cost a lot more to maintain. also, i think its a little funny that someone would trade a 12 cylinder Ferrari for a v6 camaro. i like my camaro but its no super car. and with 10k i would get it for shows and weekend drives... but even if you don't like it (like i do) you could still buy it just to sell and get a viper or corvette or something... my opinion: DO IT! :D
I am still baffled at to why there is a consideration.
agreed....
I'm also confused by the continued association of the words "ferrari" and "practical"..
Phill

95 camaro... need money for turbo project...
94 S10 Blazer - winter beater - infinity system to be installed soon

\"The man who says it cant be done should not interrupt the man doing it...\"
I’m new. I actually don’t own a Camaro or firebird. I do have a 2000 Camaro 3.8 fly by throttle and 4l60e. This is installed in a 1980 Triumph TR7...
