Business opening help

Ive decided to open an online business a little while ago after thinking about it for a few days, i want to do custom vinlys and decals....somthing like the bent franker website...i have 8,000$ to spend on a printer and w/e other stuff i need... where could i buy a vinyl printer, and the right paper for it??? help!!!.

My ex-wife used to run and own a sign shop and did custom vinyl decals and what not. I will call her and ask her about all that when she gets off work.

There's this really cool thing called internet (in-ter-net) it allows you to search for useful information simply by going to this other thing called a web browser. All your going to do is type in some keywords and click search, don't lose your patience you may need to do this a couple times to find what your looking for. What will happen is you'll click on the link (generally blue) that will take you to their website. You can then find information and pricing on all the stuff your looking for. lol

Seriously though I don't know of any sites off hand. Good luck opening a business can be a *****, make sure you get neccesary licensing and protection so someone doesn't sue your *** and kick you out of your house.

The vinyl printer is actually called a plotter. Search the internet for Roland Plotters. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search They make a very nice one.

The vinyl printer is actually called a plotter.

Well yes & no. I know they print on vinyl also. We get vinyl wraps for our showcar and stuff all the time and it's printed on, but it's also cut. They must have printer/cutters also.

You are going to need a plotter, a computer, and the software for the plotter to make designs to be cut into the vinyl. And you will need a vast array of vinyl wraps in different assorted colors, unless you just want a few select colors.

I suppose since it's going to be an online business you don't have to worry about peeling them and placing them so you don't need to practice on that. But something you may want to think about, and it's where my ex said she made the most money is at car dealerships that like to put a small decal on the rear end of all their cars of the dealership name and phone number....so once you are up and running you may want to think about talking with the local dealerships and see if they need anything like that, or would be interested in it.

After you make the dealer decals you can offer to take them off customers cars. BAM! Double your money.
