Well it's been raining since yesterday and today I got to find out just how slick the roads are. I was going about 30 mph (Speed limit is 35) following far back since i know our cars don't handle the best in the rain and 5 cars ahead of me i guess made a sharp turn with out really break before hand. Than caused the guy 2 cars ahead of me to slam on his breaks coming to a complete stop then the lady in front of me stopped very quickly (stopped to fast by her own words yet they never made it to the cop) and I then hit my breaks and slowly slid into her. There was no damage to the car she hit and only a few scratches from where i hit her. Sadly I slid under her car and bent my hood up pretty nicely :(. I just fixed my car and got it painted all within this year and now this happens. I got a ticket for following to close even though I wasn't. I guess i get why he wrote it but sucks he did. I wasn't close to her at all atleast 3 cars behind but well here are the pictures :(:(:(

I have driven in rain conditions I am sure are a 100 million times worse then you have ever seen, in 3 different f-bodies, and never hit another car because of it.
These conditions include, sever thunderstorms, several tropical waves, several tropical depressions, several tropical storms, 2 Category 1 Hurricanes, and a 1 category 2 hurricane.

If you slid it's a little understandable but even so take your car out in an empty lot and toss it around a couple times to get the feel of it. Every time it's raining I intentionally get my car sideways (with no one around me, duh) just so I know how slick it is outside and that my car is going to respond to correcting it as close to the way i want it to.Let's flip a coin. Heads I get tail, Tails I get head.

Re: Crash :(
sucks dude, **** happens though.
we had a bunch of rain here today. i couldnt see 2 feet in front of me. my driving was fine, it was all the other idiots who couldnt seem to keep thier **** together.
i had one ******* pull out in front of me across 2 lanes of traffic not even 5 feet in front of me, luckily my driver mod is solid. i hit the brakes and realized quickly that the ground was too slick and i was going to hit him if i stayed in the brakes so instead i jerked to the left and missed him by about 5 inches by going into the center median used for turning and was fine.
im always more aware of idiots in bad weather because i dont trust anyone around me to be paying half as much attention as i am. in rain like that i always keep a good 5-6 cars between me and the car infront of me just in case and always on the look out for retards with driving privledges.
current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it

Re: Crash :(
The first couple posters are just being *******s, this guy just ****ed up his car, the last thing you should be doing is criticizing his driving.
Hey bro I feel you, it seems like you got off pretty easy, especially her car not being damaged too much, insurance is going to hurt though. Good luck with what ever happens ;)
