Am I the only one paying attention here? Honestly? How does someone, with out a drivers license, blow up an engine? Engines don't just magically let loose one day. Especially not the running/driving kind, and especially when they are NOT being driven because the "driver" (and I use that term loosely) doesn't have a license. So, 3.8Fury, care to tell us how it blew?
I'm sure he has a learner's permit. In florida you can drive between like 6 am and 11 pm as long as you have an adult in the passenger seat. In florida though the def of adult is rather loose, it specifys age not maturity. So take that for what it's worth.

I see what you're sayin, but what "adult" would let him beat the car enough to pop the engine? Personal responsibility, it's a mother****er.
Well parts fail, the car cost $2900 at a dealer which means it was likely very high mileage. I have seen a perfectly running engine burn up because of something getting in he oil pump causing it to bind which snapped the pump drive shaft. This of course killed the oil pressure. All this happened when the guy was driving the car home right AFTER purchasing it. He proceded to drive the car another 50 miles to some mechanics who told him "yep she's burnt up". Instead of shutting the car down when it lost oil pressure. Freak things happen whenever you buy an older high mileage used car. If you suddenly lost oil pressure and continued to run the car it's your fault your motor died.
