  • New project in process

I just started a new project. I have a 2000 firebird with the L36. I have a garrett gt35r comp cams stattama stage 2 turbo cam with 105# springs, deutsch design 43.5 lb/hr injectors pace setter headers, tial bov and waste gate, port and polished intake and exhaust side head and just ported intake side, 8 point cage, 5 point harnesses, arp head studs, aem wide band, shift improver kit, and i am thinking about upgrading the boost valve. if anyone knows of any other brand of headers or and type of intercooler that fits well in these cars and maybe a kit that has all the piping with a t-4 flange let me know. this is something my friends and i decided to do for fun and we will have to see what the numbers bring. also if anyone is running a moderate sized turbo let me know how much boost you run if you have stock internals. any suggestions are welcome also.

Sounds like a cool project. But nobody makes turbo headers for our cars. Everyone who has them has had them custom built.

      lima ohio eh?

i just met some people this weekend from there. they had a nice pewter trans am and a nice red gta (i think it was a 87)

sounds like a nice build. not sure what the max boost is, but i know ive seen a few run 8-10psi without any probs.

      since youre kind of local..

thanks for that forum. we are planning on running everyday 12 psi and maybe 14-16 on race gas. and be careful who you talk to from around here. this school is full of idiots. i'll let you guys know what happens. oh and minor error it is a precision and it is a modded exducer. we are shooting for at least 400 wheel if not more. depends on what the engine can hold.

actually, there are turbo headers for our cars. Tiago will make a set if needed, they are Forward Facing Headers (FFH). Also Pace Fabrications in MI make FFH for turbo 3.8s, as well as sell kits.

I knew Tiago has made them in the past, but I thought he wasnt making them anymore...??
