    Hi,
    What do you think.

I'm in france and i could have a 93 camaro z28 for a little more than the price i sold the 3.8L

    Do you prefer a 93 z28 with a little more years and miles or a 98 3.8L.

Does the mpg of the z is very important compare to the V6?

    (sorry for my bad english)

    Thx

you will go threw alot more gas. it's all what you like. alot of people will say go for the z. cause who doesn't want a fast car. but it's also 2 different body styles.

    it's a shame that the z28 isn't in the 98-02 style.

what is the miles and break down of the cars

You didn't apologize for you bad english!!

either way, I know gas is really expensive over there...personally I'd go with the newer 6...unless the LT1 is pristine, which I doubt it is.

        Funny ****

Anywho, 9 out of 10 a v8 is usually more desirable. If your doing city driving can you afford the extra gas cause you will get less mpg in the city, highway works out almost the same, I said almost for you clowns that want to correct me. If it's in good condition overall then I would go with an 8.

I'd stay away from the 93 LT1's. It was a bastard year with the 700R4 trans and other goofy 93 only issues.

Thanks for your answers, my car had about 106000km and the 8 125000.

The z had a German reprog, k&n intake, bilstein shocks, flowmaster exhaust. I think 350-400hp.

My car had a magnaflow cat-back, drilled/slotted rotors, 180F thermostat and clear corners.

Here is a pic of the z:

I doubt his Z was making that much power, without headers or any internal work done. I would guess he is making around at max 275WRHP. So I would keep your 3.8, easier to work on, less to go wrong(no opti spark). You could mod yours easly, with some headers, HPtuners, and a little nitrous(which you don't have to use all the time) and have as equal or more power than the Z, PLus better gas mileage. So I would keep the 3.8.

Ok thanks, 275hp, it's the stock power no?

The thing with my car is that my oil pressure decrease day by day. It may be the oil filter or sending unit but i'm affraid. And my tranny fluid is a little marroon.

But i very like my car, black with clear interior...

i think if it looks good, i would go with the v8. but gas does cost more around there...

275hp is the stock power, byt RWHP means the horse power actually making it to the wheels. There is normally about a 20% loss of power through the drivetrain.
Personally I would go for the Z28 because it's a better looking car anyway :)

When I read this, I hear Valentino Rossi in my head :o

How much did it go down? 2-3psi or 20-30psi?

And by maroon, do you mean darker than normal? Trans fluid by nature is red.

With gas prices the way they are across the pond, I would keep the V6 and find a nice shop that can refill nitrous bottles :D

                            Hi,
The trans fluid is a light brown(very light) and the psi is about 50 when cold and 40 at wot (but don't change with rpm).

I think i will sell the 3.8 and buy another 3.8 manual or a bmw 323ci.

                            What do you think?

I think thats pretty typical for your oil psi....thats all mine ever ran....and if you want, run a heavier oil, or add in some STP oil treatment, works great on high milieage cars.
