so it was storming, well not storming, because there wasn't much wind or rain, but the lightning occured every 5 seconds or so. I took some pics that I thought turned out pretty cool so let me know what you think...
I took the pics around 11 at night and the first pic is of lightning behind the clouds.

weak sauce... i remember vacationing in FL and the lightning was HUGE!! like just huge forks across the sky and coming down. none of that one long bolt, no branching stuff, it was like 2 miles away and it just coved so much of the sky...

actually there was lightning every 5 seconds so I just pointed to the sky and snapped away :) Those are the 3 good pics I got out of probably 50 total snaps

those are sweet man, i read somewhere that lightning is almost impossible to photograph, and that some people spend their whole lives trying to get a good shot.
Its pretty easy if you have a tripod and the shutter open for a while. Or, as most pro's do it, have a light sensor hooked up to the camera. But that can get quite expensive...
I was driving home from a Rhinos (soccer) game last weekend, and the lightning was all around. It was pretty sweet watching it through the T-tops and huge windshield.
