no it wasnt raining, and i was only going about 35. i will get pics tomorow of the spot and of the car. thanks guys for all your help. as for the car, idk what will happen as of yet but i will post when i do.

my neck is really sore and my friend has a gash in his forehead right above his eye thats bleeding pretty bad, but everyone is ok.

never swerve...just hit the brakes and hope the deer runs away or you hit it at a slow speed...swerving will get you that, or possibly even worse...could've wrapped yourself around a tree or something. its good to hear that youre alright though man.

dude, i can vouch for the butthole troopers...over here in rocky mount on any 5 mile stretch of road you'll see 10 deer...i've had to slam the brakes many times, never lost control thou (thank the Lord). sounds like the cop made up his mind as soon as he saw what you were driving ( i have it from a valuable source, my cousin, a seargent here in Rocky Mount, that troopers will find everything they can to give someone in a sports car the wrong end of the stick, so i hate to say it, but ur gonna have a tough time proving you didnt do what the cop says he thinks you did, even thou he didnt see you...best of luck bro...if you want, i can talk to a couple troopers in my family and find out what you can do to help prove your case

yeah, i hear about this crap all the time. cops doing anything they can to give the shaft to people driving fast cars. my friend (drives a T/A) got yelled at by a cop at an intersection for having his music up too loud. he told him "turn that **** down! no one wants to hear your beach boys" haha (he doesnt listen to the beach boys...) he has the stock system and doesnt blare it, the cop just wanted to yell at someone in a fast car.

That sucks about your car.

Your story seems like a stretch, maybe that's why you were getting a hard time from the officer.

Get a good lawyer & pay whatever it takes to get the reckless driving dropped; in alot of states its the equivalent of a DUI, looks worse on your record & requires high risk insurance.

I had a buddy that was goofing off and sideswiped a parked car. When the cops showed up to the scene they wrote him a wreckless driving ticket. He went to court and and cop said what he said and judge asked my friend if he had anything to say. He asked the cop if he wasn't there how did he know he was driving wrecklessly. The judge said "Dismissed" Get a lawyer and ask the lawyer about something like that. Good luck and always remember to lawyer up.
Even more important than wearing a condom, never go to court without a lawyer.

Anyway, it was a little hard to read your charges man. Did you get more then one charge or is that all one?

Da*n dave, you just got done fixing that front end :( . There are good cops and there are bad cops. Sorry, you have to go through this. What parts do u need to run the car again?
