So? installing a GTP motor is a far cry from a "swap" on our cars. There's a great deal of fabrication for the intake and in the bay itself, and an enormous amount of tuning that needs to happen as well

I know my car doesnt have all the top factory stuff! Intake? Injectors? Heads? Cam? TB? Exhaust?
being a 2000, you do have some of the "top factory stuff"
Intake- Go to home depot and make a silencer delete
Injectors- Not needed on a stock car...if you just throw them on there, you'll run incredibly rich, which will hurt performance and MPG. To make them run properly, you'd need the car to be tuned for them, and you can't get a tune at a JY
Heads- you'd have to pull them all and send them to a shop to see if they've had any work done on them, and to what degree...chances are, they're going to be stock too, and the money that comes from having ported/polished/whatever heads comes from the shop using what you send them, so just sending them your stock heads you currently posses would actually be more cost efficient and much more time efficient.
Cam- Same stipulations for the heads, minus the shop doing the work on them...you'd have to pull every cam and have a shop determine what the grind specs are
TB- you have a straight thottle body, which has proven to be more than sufficient for even the most wild of setups.
Exhaust- you already have tubular manifolds, so the only thing you could benefit from is getting a cat there and gutting it...which, you can do without going to the JY. Again, it would be more cost-efficient to work with the hardware you have now. You may be able to come across a bullet-style muffler or a cutout, but I wouldn't set your sights much higher than that

So you're expecting to waltz in there and find a whisper lid? Once again, you won't find anything better than stock

One piece DS! Now thats what Im talking about! From what car? And years?
you would get them from any 82-02 f-body. However I'm willing to bet, having a Y87, you already have a 1-pc DS.

LOL HAHA! By in no way was I implying that I wanted to do a GTP swap! Sorry for the confusion! I only ment it as an example of parts available in the JYards!

This again I was not implying anything. Just used for example or a stripped car. EX. If I found a part I could use, I wouldnt care about the car being stipped, all I would need from it is that one part.

Damn, I had no clue I could have taken the DS of my 3rd gen! Its in the JYard now LOL! As for Y87, I looked at my door and the only code I have that would relate to this is GU6 and G80, no Y87 :(

Well this kind of sucks since I cant make my car go any faster this way. But at least I dont have to buy crap now LOL! And when I ment intake, I mean intake manifold. I did take out the fins in the air box and got rid of the MAF screen. So next step is to get rid of the silencer, cant believe I havent done that yet! So out of all the other 3800 cars, I have best suspension, valve train, Intake, etc..?

BTW: Thanks for all the input! You've cleared up a lot of misguided info for me!

I've pulled plenty of parts off 1le cars and I've just missed out on a firehawk. If you get to the place at the right time you can find good stuff. The problem is it's rare to have a car with good parts sitting for very long.

I pulled sway bars off a 1le car.

Check out the Tech Database : http://tech.firebirdv6.com/1le.html

I usually check all the rpo codes to see if there might be something interesting on that cars that you can't visually see.

Sweet! Thanks a lot! So these parts will work on a 2000 Bird?!
See, I knew there were better parts out there! Been told otherwise as you can see by earlier posts! So I just look in the door of an LT1 car and see if it says 1LE? Anything else?
