So word on the street is that the clutch in the new Z06 gets overheated and stuck to the floor in racing situations. I went to the track yesterday and saw it happen on a brand new Z06 who ran 14.9 in the 1/4 mile. Good Job GM! Must be nice to get a faulty clutch after spending 80 grand! :slap:

Re: New Z06 - Stuck Clutch!
Do you know specific details of whats causing it?
I watched two Z06s hot lap an auto-x course all day. It was probably in the 90s that day and the brakes were screaming in pain by mid afternoon. They didn't seem to have any other problems though.

Re: New Z06 - Stuck Clutch!
the new vettes aren't the only ones with those problems....04' CTS-V's did the same thing...at high revs the clutch would stick to the floor, as soon as the rpms went down the clutch came out...but ya, your right, something they shouldda fixed.

My head is not big, I was just poking fun at the Z06 guys, whom I befriend anyhow.Last edited by AZ3.8Camaro; 09-17-2007, 01:11 PM.1997 Chevrolet Camaro v6 - 13.8@104MPH
