on my car has this light on my car that says skip shift its never come on but what does it mean its a 93 m5

its a gas saver thing on M5/M6's.
IIRC it'll lock out 3rd gear at low rpms and you'll have to shift to 4th or 5th.
current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it

It does nothing on 5-speeds...
On 6-speeds, it locks you out of 2nd, if you are at higher rpms but slow, and gets you to shift to 4th gear. When it does this, it lights up, so you are not too surprised.Comment
