Rumble in the street

I'm pretty bad at making titles, forgive me.

Today as I was walking to one of my classes when a Silver 1998-2002 Camaro drove past me. It had no badge and it had the v6 body kit, so naturally I thought it's the lovable v6... However, as it passed me the car rumbled and actually shook the ground. Well, I guess I have to ask... if it's not a swap then what would make the 3800 shake the ground? It sounded so beautiful.

ground fx were available on the z28s. If it had no badges, it was probably a debadged z28 w/gfx. Did it sound like a V8?
Cam and cutout and i'm sure you could feel it pass if it was a 6, moreso if it was an 8.

cammed ls1s sound kinda funky to me. its a really hollow sound. id say it was a debaged z.

I am leaning toward Ls1. The only muffler that has reduced (or least amount of) rasp is Borla and umm NO they do not shake the floor when pass by. It's a 8. sorry.

My car rumbles when you stand next to it...you can feel it in your chest, and if I rev it up and you're standing next to it...uh yeah It's loud for a 6. 'course I'm running open downpipe right now. :(

mild internal work, headers and an open cutout.

Cutouts will do that. You can get our V6's (3.8 anyways) to sound exactly like a V8 at lower RPMS with a cutout, and maybe a cam.

cut out is like a "Y" pipe your install on you exhaust before the cat converter and muffler.

On end of the Y is capped off so exhaust will flow out the normal route, (thru the cat and muffler.)

Now when the cap is taken off, exhaust is allowed to escape basically right off the headers, hence, intensified sound.
