Personally, I'd go with the LT1. Since the motor's out, it probably does have some problems, but that's even more reason to tear it apart and rebuild it as a cammed 383 stroker w/P&P heads, LS6 IM, 58mm TB, etc etc. Then you'll know it has a good running motor, and it has alot of power :D~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~
