What about a Lexus IS 350 RWD? You get the quality of a Toyota and the fun factor of a RWD vehicle. I think they're in the 305 hp range and fit your price range.

Also, you said no GMs, but I've always thought there was something about the Saab 9-3. Its a European GM so depends on what your limits are. Even with the turbo it doesn't have as much HP as the Lexus. Also the interior is starting to look dated, but I think they run a few thousand dollars less than most of the vehicles you're talking about.

Ugh... CTS... 2 close friends have 04's. They both break all the time and both have had 3 rearends. Pass. I might have to hold out for the 135i. Sexy little cars with 300hp and can be tuned for 375hp pretty easily... Those hating on the C, well, you gotta see that in person. The lines are really slick. I saw one the other day in silver, with the sport package and amg wheels. It was looking right! Niko, send pics of the caprice. For that kinda money, i could have a good demo derby car :)

I have always thought that bimmers are more like a drivers car and benzs are more comfy and leisure car. I don't know about older c class but the new model looks sweet. You can't compare a BMW from base price because no dealer has a base price model. Every BMW I have ever seen has about 5k worth of options tacked on. I want to like the new 335, but it and all of the bangels are butt ugly.

I hate Lexus on principal, but the IS is a nice car if you aren't looking for a manual or power. mmmm air conditioned seats...

I've driven a Bentley Continental GT. I worked at a private airport south of Montreal and had the opportunity to drive several of the owner of Cirque de Soleil's cars. The only helpful comment I can make about this car is that its like stepping into another world. This car's exhaust note is hypnotic. I've never been so nervous parking a car tho!
