Or find a store who's policy covers sales within 30 days of purchase. If you find it priced lower within 30 days, they'll refund the difference. Some stores will refund the difference plus 10%.

Find that out, and but it there, then hope for a sale, so you'll have the camera now, and wont have to fight the crowds.

We have a FUJIFILM A345 digital camera. Takes vids and everything like you want - good piece. I took all of my car pics with it. :D

Cheapest I could find the SD1000 on ebay was 182 and it was refurbished. Found another deal that was 192 with a 1gb sd card, but also refurbished. i found it new on dell.com for 165 with free shipping. 2gb sd card brought my total to 184. I've always loved black friday, but I'm not going to be up in portland like usual, so i would have to get up an extra hour early (like 2a). Anyway, i thought 165 new was a pretty good deal :)

Yeah, that's a steal. I paid 220 for mine, not just 2 months ago. Still don't care cause I think the camera is still worth that much. So did you go ahead and get it? You'll love the video quality. My only complaint is the video when you've zoomed in a bit.

Re: Help me pick a digicam

I had to leave for my night class, but it came in right before i left and i've just had a chance to take a few pics and try out a couple movies. I have to say, I'm thoroughly impressed. I was behind a Porshe Turbo on the way to class, so I just pulled the camera out (of course I brought it) and snapped a quick pic at the stop light and even then, on settings right out of the box, it's a better pic than the best my old camera could take.
Haven't had a chance to really test out the videos, and i've only watched them on the camera, but they seem pretty awesome!

If you want, go ahead and upload a pic and vid so I have an idea of what this thing can really do! :)

Lol, wait till you figure out the color swap feature, it's kinda neato. I mean, I took a picture of my car, set the orange to blue, and it actually looked pretty close to "realistic".

Make sure you view it full size.

Video the wife took after I was goofing with the vid settings. The kitten is new, and this was the first time the black one was going near her. The wife didn't bother changing any of the settings, just started recording the cats.

Oh, we took 450 (7.1MP on the "Superfine" quality) pictures and 6 videos this Sunday, on a single battery charge. We got two extra batteries with a wall charger and a car charger for like 40-50 bucks on ebay. If you feel like you need em, let me know and I'll find out who the seller was. They came from some battery store here in the US, not some cheap Hong Kong dud.

Re: Help me pick a digicam

jeeze, it's like perfectly clear, I don't see any graininess..

I was messing around a bit with the thing where it makes everything black and white except a certain color but I didn't really have a chance to figure it out and the battery died (I was running off the charge out of the box) So i opened up the charger and it's charging now. Looking forward to taking some pictures!

haha btw, from the limited time i've used this, and the reviews I've read and research I've done, I've already convinced another friend of mine to buy one of these, and he's doing it right now haha.

                            Lol, nice.

EDIT: The video's finally up. The site was goin slow, soooo I used the camera's video editing capabilities to cut out the end, and made it 18.5MB instead of 40. Sorry I didn't have a good one with sound.

Anyways, we also got a 2GB card from Circuit City on sale for 20 bucks the next week.
