wife has an 03 v6 auto mustang. Not a bad car, interior is a little worse than ours. I really don't much care for it except for highway travel, it's a little more comfortable than the bird but that's only because my suspension is sooo stiff and she has more room on the passenger side than in the bird.
Mileage hwy doesn't much compare though, about 25mpg at 75mph in the hills 27 on in flat country. Tank is smaller also which means start looking for a gas station around 270 hwy miles OR be wearing comfortable shoes. I can go 400 hwy miles in the bird before I even worry about gas.
Seriously though if you want a v6 mustang move up to the later ones where the 3.8 is putting out more power and you'll be happier.
