me and my buddy were thinking of making a small local bussiness out of doing t-top conversions. was thinking we would have 2 price ranges
a pretty much factory perfect installation and a fuctional installation
then there would be 1 price if you provided all the parts, and another price if we profided all the parts.

Now i know lots of you guys want t-tops but are scared or unwilling to cut into your car. What are you guys willing to pay for a service like this?

about 15 $.... considering the trip from buffalo NY would cost me a ****load on gas and lodging =)

but to be honest if i wanted it done professionally with you guys providing the parts i would expect to pay anywhere from 250-400$ don't know if that sounds reasonable for the worker, but if it was less than 400$ i would probably do it.

it's a good idea, but the disclaimer is going to be so freaking big. if you guys screw up, your f'ed. i mean you can offer to help people, but starting a bus. is a little extreme

I agree with kristen and as much as careful as you guys are there is bound to be problems. People are going to look for the slightest imperfections and give you a hard time. If you do start something up, good luck

Good thought but way too limiting and way too much liability. To cover your *** would cost more than what you would make. The one thing you want with any business today is a ridiculous amount of insurance.

and, seriously how much work do you think you will have , it's not like you will be flooded with f-bodies to do conversions on and yea, the liability would be huge.

people would be up for it... i know myself i wouldnt wanna attempt something that major, just make sure you have pictures of stuff you have done previously so they can see you do a good job. If you didnt have any pictures of work or anything i would be hesitant.

if i lived in the area, i would pay around 250 if you provided all the stuff, and around 100-150 if i provided it all.

your level of quality wont measure up to what most obsessed people expect, no matter how nice you make it. people complain no matter what and like was already said, it would cost more to cover your *** than you'd make doing just ttop conversions.
